If FORD were to admit the flash drive issue that would mean reparing or replacing ever head unit, thats 2k per replaced head unit.. No matter how bad it is FORD will never admit its a problem...

Default Anyone else...

...have a really hard time plugging their mini USB into the USB2 port? Because of the angle of the unit inside the dash, you have to sort of work blind...I'm having no luck getting the little sucker in! I've tried turning it over, but no luck. I'm actually now waiting for a second mini USB adapter to be delivered because I bent the first one trying to force it in! I've read that some people needed to trim away some of the plastic on the plug...maybe that's it?

Add me to the list of users with Sync BSOD. Happened again this morning. Phone failed to pair up when I started the truck so I pressed the phone button to force it. The Sync lady stuttered on a word and that was it. Unresponsive talk button, no AM or FM1, no USB.

Had to pull off the road, shutoff the truck and open the door to end this nonesense. I'm at 3.2.2 and it seems ever since I went to this code it has been buggy.

That's what I had to do. The plastic sleeve was too thick to fit all the way in, so I had to trim with a utility knife.

As for my Sync... it was one of the features I was most looking forward to, and I've been very disappointed. It is so buggy that I can barely use it. Really hoping for an update soon.

I have since completed the USB2 mod, and had problems with Sync stuck on Initializing from the start. All the steering wheel controls for the radio would be unresponsive, and the phone would not connect. Just like using the USB port in the dash.

Then V3.2.2 update can out, and I applied it to the truck. Everything worked great for about a week. Then other issues started. Initializing showed up for a few seconds, but went away still allowing Sync to function. Sometimes when starting the truck Sync would forget it was playing USB2, and start on FM2 while not connecting to the phone with no steering wheel controls. Everything would be fine the next time I start the truck. It's driving me nuts.....

Hopefully there will be another update to address these issues. I think I might go to the dealer to have them reapply the V3.2.2 update, and see if that fixes these issues. I may go through my thumb drive, and make sure all the metadata is correct/complete on my mp3s. I'm using a 32G DataStick Pro by Centon. Maybe someone on here has these symptoms, and have some other suggestions to try.

I did the usb2 mod a couple weeks ago and its been working but whenever I turn the truck off I have to turn the radio on and off a few times before it would start playing. All other functions work fine. Yesturday I tried to use the usb2 port and sync keeps telling me theres nothing attached to it. I checked my ipod and all connections and the're fine. Anyone know how to fix this?
thanks

I've been using my Microsoft Zune quite heavily in the standard USB input and haven't had any problems with anything freezing.
