I did this update a few weeks ago and it worked great at first. Now when streaming over Bluetooth, the volume is tinny and super low. Anyone else have this problem?

Sync is freaking awful. I don't know if I can buy another vehicle with such a system. Nothing but problems.

No problem. I got it installed ok (I think); we'll see how it works over the next few days. The only real issue I ran into is that the instructions I was following said you should hear "Installation Complete" twice; I only heard it once, but it appeared to be done. It did write the xml file on my USB drive to send back to Ford to confirm the install, so I guess it went ok.

I upgraded to 4.6 almost 2 months ago.
Once I found the correct install procedure, it went as described.

I also have issue with Siri not working, but its not such a big deal since until a couple of weeks ago, I only had an iPhone 4 which didn't have Siri, so I'm not dependent on it...

An issue I have had a couple of times lately is no outgoing audio on the first call after starting the truck. It's happened three times so far, and redialing the call seems to correct the issue. I now have an iPhone 5S. I'm not ruling out an issue with the phone itself, since it's a hand-me-down from my daughter who upgraded because she said it wasn't working right.
I reset the phone to defaults and updated the OS, and I've had not other issues with it other than the sync issue.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Did you install yet Jimmy? I have a '12 FX4 and was able to download just now. Based on the feedback here I am hesitant to!

For you guys that have had this install correctly how long did it take roughly?

I got it downloaded and started the install when I went to run an errand. I had it doing its thing for about 35 minutes before I had to turn the truck off to go into a meeting. It said it was finished on the screen but the box that had popped up hadn't went away. Sure hope I didn't just mess it all up worse than it was before.

Easily 20 min. On my 2012 Lariat.

Mine ran and ran. Instructions very sketchy and messages very crisp tic, not well done. I interrupted mine once thinking the mule died crossing the Rockies from the weight of the bits and started it over, only to get bitched at for not letting it run. Overall spent at least 40 minutes mucking around.

It looks like mine actually installed correctly. I've still got issue just like I had before but I am on the latest version. Not that I see any improvements over what was there.

My 2012 would never complete. Sync reboot was installed after first time. I tried a second time waiting at least 20 min wirhout a complete. I did the reboot which completed. Then I tried the third time. I still did not get a complete after 15 min. It seems to be run thou. But it does show FPN of 44-ag

hunt4240dw,

Software installations generally take at least 30 minutes to complete. Also, the vehicle should be in park with the engine running.

Keep me updated!

Hi Cara, any word on the Siri issue? Seems like a lot of people are having this problem, but I haven't seen a solution. I'd LOVE to go back to 4.4, which worked fine.

Thanks!
