Ahh, gotcha. I'm pretty sure that the 2012 non-nav use the same Sync 4.4/4.6 install even though they just have the small text based display. I think that the install will "yell" at you if you try to install it on a system that it is unsupported on.

Just a quick update, I tried the file that nfazer was nice enough to send but it didn't work on my 2012 Lariat with navigation (non-MFT). So back to waiting on Ford I suppose unless someone has the file specific to that unit.

Sorry guys, I thought that the update for the 4.2" and text only might work for the 2012's with Nav, but that must be a different update file. I have read that some folks who update their maps via the Ford DVD's have had system updates applied at the same time; I wonder if that is how it has to be done for your radios? In that case, the Ford site downloads would never work, since you have to buy the Nav DVDs for each update.

Have any of you updated your 2011/2012 Nav systems via USB in the passed?

Thought I'd check in to see if anything has changed, and to my complete and utter shock, it hasn't! Been having a lot of issues occuring more frequently and am about to just say f it, and get a Android auto double din to take its place, because I'm getting pretty tired of waiting for Ford to get a fully functioning system together.

Kind of funny the higher end the truck, the less attention it gets from I assume the lower volumes sold.

My platinum has had one Ford update in 5 years and one that says available but can't be downloaded (probably a ford IT person laughing right now). The Sync Hysteria Intervention Team was quick to ask for my details though.

Automakers really should leave mobile electronics to the mobile electronics companies and stick to ***** and buttons.
