Default Sync and Text Messages

All knowing board,

I have a question with Sync on my 2011 Screw. When I go into the phone menu system and select text message the display returns "Not Supported." Is it my phone, my cell service, sync itself or something else that is not supported? I'd love to get this working. Can others send/receive text messages with sync?

Thanks in advance,
PSU IE.

Its the phone. Let me guess, iPhone? My old iPhone wouldn't work with it but my Android Motolola Atrix does.

Same msg I get. I have a LG Versa (nowhere near smart phone)

I have heard on here that the Droid X seems to work... I know there was another thread on here that was talking about this and there were other phones mentioned that worked.

Default Damn old phone!

The phone is an old, old Samsung i760 running windows mobile that I got right before Verizon started requiring a data package with a smartphone. I'd love to upgrade the phone but I'm cheap and don't want to pay a monthly fee for a data package! I guess I'll live with it.

Thanks,
PSU IE

I have an LG VN250 that works perfectly with SYNC. If you (directed toward everyone, not just OP) don't need a phone with all the fancy do-dads, I would definitely recommend getting one.

There is a newer version of this phone out, I'm not sure the model number on it. I'm curious if it has full functionality with SYNC, as with the other phone.

I've got the Evo 3D from Sprint, and have had no luck either. It's got the droid software, so it seems like it should work if other droids do. Somebody out there that has theirs working wanna help?

I may be wrong here but I thought Verizon does not support blue tooth texting. Does anybody have it working with verizon service?

I get the same message with my iPhone. Hopefully this next version will be capable.
