The Sync turn-by-turn is definitely not a replacement for a simple GPS device. I would say it is good if you have absolutely nothing else, but be prepared to pull over to have the system recalculate your route if you miss one of the directed turns/directions. (the system doesn't update very fast since it has to call sync services to update your route)

Can't say I understand fully what you're getting at... are you looking for us to agree with you, that you are in fact stoopid?

syncmyride.com to set it up. But it runs off of cell service. So if you live up in the mountains back in the woods like me. Standard GPS is the way to go.

You should have bought the Nav.
