I thought I read somewhere where Ford is dropping Microsoft and going to a blackberry software.

Strange... mine works just as your wife's Nissan Murano works. Never have to reconnect bluetooth, USB never drops off and mine understands my voice perfectly. My wife has a 2010 Taurus Ltd. Her's works perfectly as well. I wonder why the hit and miss issues.

One thing that works for me when my sync acts retarded is I take out any CDs out of the drive, then I unplug any USB devices and cords. Make sure the truck is all the way off key out of the ignition (make sure to pop the hood before closing the door) hit the lock button twice so you hear the factory horns beep. Disconnect both battery terminals, ground first then the positive. Now is the fun part, leave the hood popped open and wait about an hour. I know some people have success waiting about half an hour but I wait about an hour, now grab your self a nice cold brew or pop, get a chair to sit on in front of your truck, be proud you bought a ford f150. When the hour is up plug the ground first then the positive. Unlock your truck get in and put the key in the ignition all the way to the point where your going to crank the key to start, but don't do that just run the full power in the "on" position without turning the truck on for about 20 seconds then crank, it might act weird when you go to start it but it will start after a a few seconds let it run for a minute, take it around the block. Then park somewhere and adjust your clock and presets and all the other functions the truck reset. After all that turn the truck on for a minute then off for a minute and now all should be good.

You have to remember our trucks run computer software, take a laptop, smart phone, or computer tower for example, every now and then they have to be reset or rebooted when they act funny. Give it a try it might just work for you. Good luck.

If I had to do that in either of my Sync-equipped vehicles I'd be back at the dealer demanding things be replaced...
