Default sync question

Have not read the sync book yet but just paird the blackberry to it. Everytime you start the truck sync makes the voice announcement that it is paired and that 911 assist is not activated. Can that message be deleted?? hate that everytime you start the truck!!

You get the message that 911 assist is either activated or not activated depending on your settings. No way to turn off the message. It's only on for a couple of seconds, you'll get used to it.

So was my ex wife!!!!!hahahaha. Anyway, I had posted a thread here for Sync users with Ipod touches. Just make sure you have at least 3.0 of the Ipod software otherwise after a short while it will shut down the USB port.

Thats weird, I got that message the first time and have yet to receive it. My phone automatically sync's when I turn on the truck, you can see the BT icon come on and on the phone. My 911 is set to on so that may be the difference.

I think you're correct and I'm wrong in my post above. I think the only time I see the assist message is when I start my truck and I don't have my phone with me (or out of bluetooth range).

So one way (the only way) to eliminate the message is to enable 911 assist.

Just do what I did, and activate your 911 assist. Gets rid of the message and will help you if you wrap yourself around a tree. win win

I think if you make sure you have the latest update of SYNC on syncmyride.com (need to install it to truck using a flash drive) you can turn off the voice 911 babysitter. It'll still scroll on the display though, apparently.
