Sync problem? Index is full?

Unfortunately using a flash drive is not the answer. I am using a 32 Gb flash drive with only about 18 Gig of music on it. This was working fine for about 3 months then I started getting the "Index full..." message. I've tried removing and replacing the flash, rebuilding my music and playlists and various other things with no success so far.
Still looking for that magic answer...

I been having this problem for a long time.... The only fix is to reboot sync... by either choosing restart sync in the settings menu (preferred) [media:settings:reboot sync] or pulling the fuse (or disconnecting the battery)
I have a 128gb flash drive... the index full message comes after 5 to 10 engine restarts..... sometimes stopping, turn off engine, open door, close door restart engine fixes it. but now I mostly reboot sync from the settings menu. the latest update added that feature.

This is a known problem with no solution. Ford is aware of it and I have / had a case open with them for years. They don't want to fix it, they won't fix it. And they have told me to get a gen 2 system, aka buy a new car.
what I want to know is which wire powers sync so I can put a switch in it and reset on the fly. Turning off the truck and opening the door to reset sync while doing 80 is great fun.
they did add a option in the menus in the last version to reset sync. Yay

Sync Index Full
I recently leased a 2012 Ford Fusion SE and encountered this problem, some solutions on the internet said take out the fuse for sync or detach your battery for 30 seconds. Well after trying both of these and having no luck for various reasons, i started messing around with radio controls and settings. I found one for a master reset and it fixed my problem! I did have to resync my phone (no big deal) and the system had to "rebuild voice commands" (only took about 5-10 minutes) after that my Ipod played no issues and voice command worked like new. So here's how to do it. If you're using a usb device, go to that setting on the radio and look in settings, keep searching until you find one that says master reset. Hit ok, it will then begin the process (only a few minutes if that) after which you can re-add your phone to bluetooth and use your usb media device. If anyone has additional questions about this reset, let me know and I'll try to be more descriptive.

Note that you would have to unplug the fuse or battery for 15 minutes to get any sort of reset to happen, not just 30 seconds. Usually that will help and not screw up as many settings as the radio Master Reset.
