Default Sync Issues

Hey guys, I have a 13' with MFT. Whenever I connect to a call lately (if it even connects at all) I can not talk to the other person unless I put it in privacy mode. The phone hooks up to Bluetooth no problem though. Any reason why?

Also, when it was working better the screen would turn off mid call and then reboot with only my fiancé...? Very odd. I drive a lot so having hands free was pretty nice

i checked online and it says I have the latest Sync update. So should I just do a reset and go from there?

Probably a reset could help. There seem to be all sorts of little ghost issues that pop up occasionally, and then go away just as fast. It could also just go away suddenly. I spent one day last week with notification sounds from my phone coming through MFT again. Just one day, it normally stays off.

The problem with Sync is evident when it starts and it mentions that "Microsoft" company . . .

My '12 will function great for 2 weeks straight, act completely stupid, then work fine for a few days, then get stupid, then work fine for 3 weeks.

It used to be maddening, now I just accept it.

Like windows 10.

Hi kchill93,

I agree with Spiky. Try the reset: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-...ter-reset.html

Also, do you have an emoji connected to your fiance's contact?

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna give the reset a shot tonight and yep, there's an emoji with her name in my contacts. I'll remove that too and report back

So I did the reset and removed emoji from the name and it hooked up and called just fine. My fiancé did say that it was kind of in and out still over the sync but we're making progress lol

Thanks, for the update, kchill93! SYNC has difficulties with emojis because it's not a normal character. It's best to remove all emojis if you're going to use your phone in the car.
