Question Sync Help!

I am looking at putting a JVC screen into my 2012 f150 lariat, currently it just has the stock radio without Sync/MFT. Can i still use sync and my wheel controls with it or is adding the JVC screen gonna screw it all up?

Default Android auto and sync3

Hey, my Android auto launchrs, opens on my phone automatically when I start my truck. How can I have it so it only comes on if I open it or turn it on? It opens even if I'm not plugged in.i only use AA for voice to text messages anyway, the way it is, well, I'm eating up data like crazy. SUX.

If you don't have Sync, how do you ask "can I still use" it?

If you don't currently have sync, you will not magically have it after installing the JVC receiver, however, it appears that you have a Lariat, which comes standard with Sync

You will need an interface from iDataLink, PAC or PIE to hook up the JVC receiver to Sync and the steering wheel controls.

Have you looked on Crutchfield's website? Even if you already purchased the stereo, they'll have at the very least, the wheel control adapter.
The JVC I put in my 2005 came with the adapter for the wheel control's. Too bad I didn't have that option back then.

If you haven't picked up the Stereo, I know they have setups for the 4 inch display, w/Sync.

Also, depending on whether you're an Android or iOS user. You can buy accordingly.
