It's not a downgrade when the signal sucks and you can't make any phone calls. The iPhone signal is much better. Either way it's all about personal preference. The iPhone is better for me because I have an iPad and MacBook so the information I save appears on all of them using iCloud and the other features.
Unless you switched carriers the signal shouldn't change much unless you got an s3 with a damaged antenna. In fact iphones usually have less signal due to a design flaw, but maybe it was just the 4 not the 4s, I forget now. I hear ya on the cloud features, I have several android devices and they are the same way, very cool for sure, makes it hard for a guy to switch brands, haha! The Google android is much better in my opinion cause they work with many other brands and manufacturers where Apple only works with Apple products and usually they cost 2x more and do half as much. The dlna capabilities and options with android are awesome.
