Default viper 5907 alarm

anyone else have the viper 5907 alarm installed? i have it on my 09 fx4. for some reason the installer told me that i can't just use the arm on the viper remote. i need to lock the car doors w/ the factory remote, then arm it 30 seconds later. this doesn't seem right, so i'm wondering if anyone has heard of this.

That does not seem right. I have a viper 5901 installed on my 2010 FX4 and only use the viper remote.

if they cant figure out how to program the dome light trigger out of the system(alarm ignores it) and use door pin triggers then I would suggest going to a different shop, hate to say it but they dont seem that knowledgable to me. My viper, cant remember number right this second, had to have this done so it would stop chirping at me after armed...lol. they used a bitwriter and all is well now .
