After you press the talk button watch the screen and wait until it says "Listening" then say mobile apps, if you have any apps installed it will wait for you to name one or say no mobile apps installed and then shut down.

Check the settings of the app on your phone, they should have a check box to allow it to connect with sync as shown in the pic below.

In my iOS version of the slacker app, I do not have that 'Ford Sync' setting.

Also; When I say mobile apps, it simply shuts down the voice menu. Doesn't give an error or any other prompts.

Yeah iPhones are known to have issues with Sync try un-pairing the phone and do a soft reset.

If that fails get an Android phone.

But back on topic, I use applink for Pandora and amazonMP3

Works great on my nexus.

I guess I have it. I have used it for Pandora and works fine. I just recently tried Amazon.


But when I use Amazon, the screen doesn't show Amazon, it shows Pandora, but I can still skip or repeat.


I'm probably doing something wrong...lol

Ok I have a question.

My truck is going in for a sync update next friday. I have been having issues with it not recognizing my voice and not recognizing my sync destinations app on my phone. I do not have a touch screen but the small screen in the center dash.

Will this new update pertain to me?

If it is TSB# 13-9-22 yes it is specific to that system, flashed mine a few weeks ago and it's been working as it's supposed to.

Not sure what TSB it falls under but I guess my sync system is version v4.0.2, while there appears to be v4.2.1.4

Yep it'll work for all 2012-2013 trucks with non touch screen. 2010-2011 have a different update.

Mine was v4.1.2.F and is now v4.2.1.F
