I just updated a little while ago today. I had to re-pair my phone like starting over again. It seems snappier, I now have applink I didn't before. Now when phone connects on start up she says 911 assist is off every time, that never happened before. But all in all it seems better. It still randomly starts on fm after shutting it down on usb. I have basic 2010 sync.

I just got through updating my 2013, I can't get my message notification to work now :-/. I have app link now and was hoping it would work with my pandora app on my I phone. I guess I don't know what app link is 😕

I updated my 2011 yesterday. I now get text messages on both my android and iphone! Before, with ver 3.2, no texts at all. HUGE improvement!
BTW syncmyride.com said my ver 3.2 was "up to date", but offered me ver 4.4 on the same web page, as an "update". I think Ford's servers need reprogramming.
To anyone updating: after the new update is loaded, you have to wait at least 10 minutes, with engine running, radio on and USB still plugged in, for the "reboot" to finish. It seems like nothing is happening during this time, but eventually it gives you a final "OK" message. then, remove the USB. You have to upload the XML file that your truck writes to the USB to syncmyride.com, to register your update with Ford (probably only needed for their info and yours on sychmyride.com, not for functionality). You have to re-pair your phone(s) and accept requests on your phone to share information (texts) and your phonebook - watch out for these requests on your phone during pairing, as they fly by only briefly.
I am glad to finally have text messages on my 2011 from my iphone and androids.
