Hey i'm trying to help a friend upgrade to sync 3 and we got all the parts installed but are having problems with things working. I was wondering if anyone could help with as built data? The climate doesn't show up on the screen nor does the clock. Also heated/cooled seats do not work. Any help is appreciated. I've tried various things but nothing seems to work. Thanks.

Replied to your private message as well, see attached for the values that I have working. Most of these I derived from a 2016 Taurus limited, and then tweaked a few of the values that are F-150 specific (rear camera profile, etc). Everything works with these values.

not to thread jack, but with these values, do you get the climate controls popping up instead of in the background? my only pet-peeve of sync 3 is you can't see the climate temp when changing it while in apple carplay/android auto.

My concern with using a taurus as-built would be the wheel and length info that is in the APIM (a lot of the 7D0-05 to 7D0-07 stuff). The climate and screen functions should be fine, but those addresses should probably be copied from a similar f150. I don't really know what it will screw up, but I am assuming some camera stuff but who knows what else is using that data.

From the Taurus I changed 7D0-01-01 to enable to Sony Sound Processor and 7D0-02-01 to change the rear view camera profile from sedan to truck. Been running it with the mentioned settings for a year now with no issues, so not really sure if the 7D0-05 - 7D0-07 stuff is impacting anything, certainly not any functionality of daily use or anything else noticeable.

I don't get them popping up, and is also my biggest pet-peeve of the whole truck honestly. Miss having the climate control separate below the radio (older F-150s) where I could always see what it's set on, regardless of what radio screen I'm on.

Question Sync 3 Upgrade Kit

Has anyone had any luck with a complete kit to upgrade from a Sync 2 to Sync 3 with Nav? I have a 2013 F150 Platinum 5.0 that I'm looking to upgrade the head unit so I can use Apple Car Play while retaining Nav as well as full control of all standard features for the vehicle. I stumbled on this thread and found some kits that were $1800 but then found this one on Ebay & I was hoping someone with more experience could verify if this will work before I waste any money!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/20317516709...28&chn=ps#rwid

Any insight would be extremely appreciated!
