Speaking of speakers...
I have the 700w Sony system also.
I have never run the volume more than mid way and I think I run the bass at mid level. When someone is talking (like when listing to a morning show) I notice I get vibrations out of the speakers of the door panels.
Do others experience this? Is this due to the speakers or just the way the door panels are made?
Thanks for the imput.

my door panel rattles a bit with the right low tones, try pushing on it with your left knee and left arm and see if it doesnt quiet down.

Is anything worse than stock XLT speakers? I think my iphone speakers provided more quality. Have Alpine components now and the sound is day & night different.
Yet I'm still chasing the crackling issue with my speakers but its not the speakers.

I also have the Sony/Nav and I am planning on putting my JL Audio C3-570 convertable component set in my front doors in the near future. These speakers were expensive, but the sound was outstanding in my 2011 I traded in. I yanked them out and put the stock paper ones back in before trading.
I am wondering if a full range signal is being sent to the door speakers......since the tweeters are up on the pillars??? I plan on using the external crossovers, as this is part of the reason why these speakers sound so good.....

I just installed a front pair of Infinity 6829CF . The difference is amazing. Stock everything except the two front speakers(2010 supr cab xlt). I will probably run these for awhile to see if it is good enough. I have used Infinity on 2 other vehicles and love the crisp clear sounds!! Yes, an amp and sub would rock this truck, but 2 speakers is definately a game changer and for $70 shipped!! I would suggest getting the adapter for $10 so you don't have to cut your stock wires
PS> they fit perfectly with no alterations!! Just use a large zip tie for the CO dongle to one of the large wire groups at the bottom front of the door sill.

I have a 2013 fx4 supercrew...with the Sony system. How do you get the door panels off to change the speakers out? I don't want to break any clips. Is there any links or instructions on here for how to do this? Thanks anyone.
