swap out 3.15 for 3.73
Hello all,
I recently purchased a new travel trailer which weighs 7500lbs. I am currently towing it with a 2013 F150 FX2 ecoboost. I have 3.15 and want to know if putting 3.73 would benefit me?

Well, you buy the ring and pinion set, and while you're in there I would put in new bearings, just because you're in there. If I were you, and I'm not, I'd put a LS in there too.Don't forget, you'll need either a tuner, or a trip to the dealer to fix your speedometer.A gear change will make a world of difference.

Limited slips don't need to be engaged, they are automatic. Only a selectable locker will have a means to engage/disengage.

That's for the electric (selectable) locker, not a limited slip. When engaged, the locker will lock both rear wheels together with 0 slippage, like a spool. Provides great traction, but poor handling on road (and a lot of other drawbacks). With the ability to disengage the locker, the rear diff is able to slip when turning/cornering, returning normal driving characteristics. A limited slip can allow the rear tires to spin at different speeds for turning/corning, so no need to turn it on & off.
