I say negotiate a discount and have them fix it, keep the loaner until its fixed to your satisfaction.

reason being if you order another one the damaged truck will get fixed and sold then someone near you will have an identical truck :/ your dealer was kind enough to tell you about it, most would have just fixed it and then delivered it to you, the location of the damage is high enough that it will be "out of sight out of mind" negotiate a discount, get them to add some accessories... If when the repairs are completed you still aren't satisfied order your new one and get them to transfer the accessories over.

Sorry to hear about your truck. If it were me I wouldn't take delivery of it until it's fixed to my satisfaction.

Why in the world would you pay that amount of money for a beat up truck, regardless if it can be fixed correctly. You purchased a new truck, not one with repairs done before you took the keys. I hope the dealer works it out with you.

It's only because they told him that he knows about it. As others have mentioned lots of vehicles get damaged by transport. Most people are unaware of the damages that were fixed before they take delivery. Bottom line it's a truck and its gonna get damaged eventually. May as well get compensation for it now rather then nothing later. Especially if you can save a few grand plus get some accessories out of it. PLUS if you aren't satisfied with the repairs you can always say no

I can pretty much understand everyone's POV (reasons to accept the truck, reasons not to), but speaking only for myself, I cannot see my way to taking delivery of a special order that is damaged goods, regardless of if it can be repaired. And that's all I have to say about that.

I guess my main concern with it is that it's around that rear window, and the cargo light. Yeah they fix it, but fast forward a few years, is that location always going to be a problem area? What else on the top of the cab got screwed up when it was bent in?

What would you think a reasonable discount for the truck would be if I were to keep it?

Not so much worried about there being a similar truck to mine, this dealer is 30 miles away from where I live, so likely I wouldn't see it again.

Lastly, in my opinion it's going to be easier for them to sell this truck to someone who hasn't seen the damage.
