To the OP:
Since this thread is a write up on how proud you felt about your ride in a given situation and most of us felt the same through empathy, why not continue what you started by giving your consent to letting others share here their personal pride stories? If that's ok, I'll come back and post my little experience too!

Sure, I'd love to hear what others' trucks have accomplished! Story time!

I've a friend who owns a trailblazer with which he tows his 18' long enclosed trailer packed with most of his tools and plenty of supplies he uses on his work. One snowy day he couldn't park his trailer up the driveway, because his car lost grip, so he just left it at the bottom where it built up more snow and ice all around for about a month. 3 weeks ago I went to his property and helped him clear almost 2 feet of snow from one entrance of the long driveway to the trailer. God bless the snowblower makers! Finally he could hook up his car and trailer together, but after many, many tries, his trailblazer was just digging 4 big holes under the wheels (yes, his driveway is beaten dirt and gravel - it's a good ol-style country house) and there was too much weight on the trailer for it to be moved out by it. I asked if I could try with my truck to which he expectantly agreed on. It was the 1st time I ever tried towing something but with the camera zoom options was like if I had done it a million times - 1 shot, 1 hit! Awesome Ford! After all was hooked up fine, the back of the trailer was grabbed by a bank of ice and snow and because my hitch sits way higher then my friend's tblazer the trailer's 2 axle wheels were up from the ground some 3"-4". I engaged 4L, waited for the computer to do it's things and slowly started moving waiting for some wheel spin... Hmmm and still waiting for some wheel spin and resistance, but nothing! The truck just moved slowly without a single hesitation or shake! Nothing! If it wasn't for the camera still on I could have sworn that the trailer had been left behind, but no! It was still there! The truck just dragged it off that big thick pile of ice up the 4% driveway like nothing was there. My friend's jaw was dropped and he was just saying "I agreed on your idea just so I could have a laugh! No way I thought that trailer could be moved without emptying it a lot. If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't believe it!"
Man, how I felt proud of my truck there!
Yet, me too, I still can't believe it (not comparing the abilities of the F150 to a trailblazer, just impressed by it's capabilities)! Lol!

Oh, believe me it was

I have a 7 year old daughter who's like a live video recorder. Nothing goes unregistered! I thought she was playing with her siblings on the snow, but from afar she was watching with my wife what I was doing with the truck and after they observed my friends struggle and my success they came to me when I was unhooking the trailer and told me with the hugest smile ever: "daddy, your truck is awesome! It did even bounced there!".
Later at the usual weekend family gathering she was spreading the word on that to all and I swell so much with vanity that I almost burst lol!

Now I'm scratching this big itch for spring to get back soon so I can go shopping for a big, big trailer to go on holidays. Someone needs a itch?

I love my 13 5.0 4x4 I have went through a good amount of sand and it just keeps going! My story is not with my f-150 it's from when I had my fx4 Ranger. One of my friends called me to tell me he put his Silverado in a ditch on a very snowy day... So I hopped in my truck filled a gas can up cause he was also out of gas and drove an hour and 15 mins to go help. Long story short hooked up dropped it in 4low and put it in gear and pulled it right out hardly any wheel spin if any all under 1500 RPMS.

Yeah I was so happy. Everyone made fun of that little truck but it has worked its little butt off it's whole life. I sometimes miss it but then I get in my f-150 and hear that v8 and think yup don't miss it anymore!
