How much room is there along the A-Pillar with the air bag/canopy in there? The dual lighted switches use what, 4 leads each?

What gauge and how many leads were there for 6 switches???

You unify the power, light, and ground wires for all the switches and just jumper between them. Then each switch only needs one dedicated signal lead.

Using relays lets you keep the gauge small.

Default Sunglasses Holder Upfitter Panel Idea

I'll have to subscribe. I have the sunglasses holder with a moonroof, but I just don't wear them enough. So making the a nice factory looking mod will be interesting to follow.

Will some CAT5 work, e.g., or is that too small?

Possibly. I wouldn't go that small though. 22ga is as small as I would go probably. I used 18ga for my switches.

Here is a thread for reference in a 6 switch panel mounted in the headliner.

Consider this a huge "BUMP"

After over-thinking a number of different ideas, the one in this thread was hands down the best. So, I finally buckled down and finished it:

I am so pleased with the accessibility from the driver's seat.

I ran 7-18ga and 1-14ga wire down the A-pillar, used a Hitachi OEM style connector under the dash, and color coded each circuit. I grounded to the cross bar behind the sunglasses holder (eliminating the need for 1 lead up the A-pillar)

I bought a Ford F350 upfitter switch set - $75. If someone wants it, along with the wiring diagram, PM me ($60 shipped to lower 48)

If anyone is wondering if it's worth it, let me assure you, it IS! Go for it!
