Default gas tank

How big is the gas tank? I got in my truck today and it said " 0 miles to E". didnt think I was that low, but went ahead and filled it up. Only took 20 gallons... is that all it carries?

You should have a 26 gallon tank.

26 gallons. that's what i have. some like 36 gallon tanks, but i think my wallet screams enough as it is forking over ~$100 just to fill up 26 gallons.

One thing i will say - takes some work getting 26 in there. this last fill up pump kept shutting off and i needed to readjust to resume refilling the tank. you could have been experiencing that.

I love the 36, I go alot longer between fill ups so it's all relative I guess.

It really doesn't matter. You will spend the same amount of money. You are paying for how many miles you drive, not how many gallons your truck holds.

i think in the end its really the same. you ended up spending the same, give or take, at the pump in the long run, you just have to stop at the gas station less frequently. and if you aren't rocking 4wd, that extra 10 gallons puts some much welcome extra downward pressure on the rear axle...

i don't disagree... not saying its actually more expensive... my truck came with what it came with... i didnt seek out 36 but wouldnt have turned it away either.

I've never wanted to take a fuel tank to "0" Miles to Empty. You better start carrying a gas can with you.
