Question Sudden power loss

I'm new to this trouble stuff and not so sure what I'm doing so any advise would be appreciated. (no I wont go buy a Chevy)
I too find myself with my truck falling on its face when I am driving in the rain and when in passing mode.
It almost feels like I just ran out of gas with a lot of vibration. As soon as I let off the throttle it seems to correct the problem.
Just about bit the dirt the other day, it was raining hard on the interstate and I was beside a semi when another one came running up my rear end. Suddenly the semi next to me starts to move into my lane. I floored it and the engine just died and the truck started shaking almost like the front wheels were suddenly out of balance.
I pulled over and shut the truck off as the check engine light was flashing now. when I started the engine again the light stayed on but the engine now has a serious miss and the mileage dropped to 12 mpg.
I took the truck to the dealership and they say they will fix it.
Is there a technical service bulletin?
Has anyone reported this to the NHTSB?
Will the fix at the dealer work?
Does a complaint to Ford Motor Company do any good?

Stinkin dealer wouldn't even provide a loaner car...and I live 50 miles away!!! That's another Ford Better idea I guess.

What's yr is your truck, sounds like you need a CAC TSB for yours! My dealer did it no questions asked or CEL! My suggestion find a Better dealership! Its a known problem and many have reported it to the NHTSA!

When I had my problem yesterday the 1st 2 times my check engine light didn't come on but the 3rd time it did come on and stayed flashing so I pulled over and shut off the engine. When I didn't find anything wrong it did start up ok and the check engine light stayed on from that point.
My OBD ll code reader wouldn't connect and kept throwing an error!? (must have been too old)
On the way to the "stealership" I tried to pass someone who was dragging their feet, that's when it happened again.
I DID file a complaint with NHTSA

Hi Mike Greene,

I want to get your regional customer service manager involved so they can assist. Reach out to me via private message (PM) with your information and I'll get this into their hands. Be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and preferred servicing dealership.
