Sub Installation
So I'm planning on installing my subs from my last car into my truck. I also have an amp and a lightning cap I want to install for the subs. Is there any kind of harness or something that I have to buy to be able to wire the amp and have the factory head unit work correctly with the amp? Ive also ordered new door speakers and may end up wanting to amp them as well. Again, is there a harness or anything that the factory head unit requires to allow the amp to work properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have one that I used to install the subs in my 2000 Mustang years ago, that I removed when I sold the car
I plan on using it to install the sub in my XLT in the not so far away future
actually, this exact one

Hey, I just got finished installing my sub and amp. I put in a focal 10 and this baby thumps the whole truck.
A littel pearl, If you are looking for a remote accessory wire to turn the amp on, tap into the hot wire for the rear power windows. They are delayed accessory and stay on when you turn the truck off (until you open the front driver door). The nice thing about this is, if you have a window lock, which I do, I can cut the amp off while I am driving. This works well for my wife who may not want the bass or if you have kids in the back seat. It's also nice to be able to listen the music without all that bass when entering your neighborhood, so your neighbors don't feel the bass. On the 2010 SCREW, it's the purple wire with white tripe in the passenger door sub-panel. Mounted my amp behind the passenger rear seat and it's completely out of site. Good luck
