From what I can tell they are just put back there and the seat will hold them in place.

Pale Screw looks to have used a husky Velcro strap, to keep his in place! That setup has me wanting to do two of the SO 8"'s as well!

Nice. Could definitely use more bass but I don't want to give up any floor space either... Hopefully somebody will install one in a 13 soon so I don't have to be first...

This will hopefully be one of my next mods. I have a 13 FX4, but I have the factory sub, so the install might be a little different.

I guess I'll have to shell out the money for the wiring diagram for the 2013

If you're going to do that, might as well shell out $20 and get the real deal--a one-month subscription to the entire Ford service manual for your truck:

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/vd...ageid=cat_main

Ford has the entire manual in printable format, so if you're patient enough, you can sit in front of the TV and print out all the wiring diagrams (and other sections of the manual) you need. I have Adobe Acrobat on my PC, so I've printed all the wiring diagrams, wiring harness and connector location and pin-out diagrams, test procedures, etc., for my truck as PDF files. Saved them all to Dropbox and I can access them in the truck from a tablet or smartphone.

The subscription also gives you access to an Oasis report for your VIN and a list of all the TSBs and whatnot for your truck.

That Motorcraft web site works best in Intenet Explorer. For whatever reason, it doesn't support Chrome or Firefox as well.

You're correct. The straps are Husky HangAlls from Home Depot. There is a metal bracket low in each corner of the rear bulk head. I wrapped the sub with the straps, and secured the subs to the bracket. It's very secure, and there is no rattle or movement.

In the scab, it's tight enough that it holds it in place without straps.

I'm gonna do the mini alpine amp for the door speakers then tap into the rears for a mono amp for my 8" JLs. My alpine mono has speaker level inputs or whatever you call them.

It looks very neat. You had to cut the insulation material off to get to the bracket, right? What size of the Husky HangAll is it?
