Thats the only thing that bugged me about my Stx. I actually found an xlt arm rest with the 2 cup holders and storage on top off Ebay and just swapped the old one for the new one. Its really easy to do the only challenge was finding one.

It almost seems that you can get an XLT for just a little more and get these items included and you get power seats, nicer dash and rear window that opens. It's definitely a great value. Love the truck.
Jim, was adding the xlt armrest a difficult/expensive project?

Take it from someone who owns BOTH trims.

I love my XLT with all the chrome, rear window and side mirror defrost, 4" productivity screen,

And I love my STX with painted bumpers, 18" FX style wheels, simple interior, and most of all the extremely easy to clean and maintain vinyl floors!

It really depends on whether you like chrome or painted bumpers, can live with a few less amenities and don't mind an overall simple truck with the STX trim.

You will be happy with either choice. Heck, I'd be happy with a stripped XL as I think any of these trucks are nice. As long as it's an F150 you won't be disappointed.

I don't play favorites with either of my trucks, they get jealous easily lol

On the outside the STX is an upgrade from the XLT. Colormatched is always a step up from chrome and looks 10000x better (IMO).

Disagree. But that is what makes the world turn. I hate the damage painted bumpers get on a truck.

I really like my STX I do like the 18 inch wheels but I just bought a set of 20's off of a 2010 FX4 because I wanted a little bigger rim with the level

Love my STX. Especially the painted bumpers. Pass on the chrome.

The STX is great, and the price I got mine for was the dealmaker (7,800 off the sticker). It has everything I need and is a good looking package. Like Jimmmyslv, I could add a backup camera.

On Black Friday I bought my 2014 Tuxedo Black stx super cab with the 5.0. Since then I have not been dissapointed in it's performance. A few personalized modifications to my liking was all that changed , especially removing the STX sticker on the bed. Just made it look so much cleaner and the dealer will take it off for nothing. They told me that over half of the people they sell pickups to want the stickers removed.
