Insurance Claim. Squirrel got a nut stuck in the sunroof/moonroof while you left it open at the dentist (wherever strip club etc). When you went to close it you heard a "snap, crackle, pop" and low and behold your moonroof quit working and would not seal correctly. Now this is considered..."an act or nature (god)" and there is no deductible or detrimental effect on your insurance score or whatever. Repaired free of charge.

I can't believe that sun or moon roofs are even available on vehicles anymore, hideous looking and nothing but opportunity for problems.

They can't go up on your premium due to an "act of God" ie: collision with an animal, natural disasters, falling trees, hail damage etc.
but you do still have a deductible.

Yeah. They should go back horse drawn carriages. Fewer mechanical parts the better.

Not sure how a hole in the roof is hideous. But that is your opinion.

Lol, I'm not a fan of sunroofs either. I don't get it really as I live in an area where it's too friggen hot to have it open or even have the shade pulled back but to each their own.
