Stranded on this fine Monday, I mean Wednesday
Guess my water pump decided to crap out, truck pissed herself, and left me overheated on the side the i interstate. 14 hours from home.
She was low on fluid a few months ago, got her topped off.
A few weeks after, one of the pulleys started making a super charger type noise, then stopped.
Had a dealership look at it since I had them change oil and rotate tires, they found nothing wrong.
This week, I hear a bearing grinding noise, was going to get to dealership at lunch to look at it, but my truck had other plans.
I'm good, got a gocart, I mean Focus for time being while dealership looks at truck.
This just sucks working 14 hours from home.

Usually I would be all over this, but the work site is an hour away from my apartment. I was 15 minutes from work site when it happened and 5 from the dealership.
Thanks for the info by the way.

Figured, it was easy. Dealership, got it right now, will let them screw me or deal with it. They have been ok so far with service, few guys I work with have used them and liked them.

I'd bet it's covered. including any towing cost to the dealer if applicable.
EDIT: Just looked it up in the warranty guide and the water pump IS covered under the 5yr/60,000 mile powertrain warranty. The towing to nearest dealer within 35 miles is also covered either by the powertrain warranty or the 5yr/60,000 mile road side assistance your truck came with. If you already paid you can be reimbursed, just dig up your warranty booklet it's all there in print.
Your rotten day has been averted.

Thanks for the Info RNL, they called today, said the repair would run 500 and some change, plus tow, and loner. I asked them to see if it was warranty work, he called back said the pump is covered, tow is covered, didn't say anything about the loner, and that I had to buy a $dollar plastic tee that is not covered.
Should be ready by lunch, then I can get out of this gocart that gets 50mpg.

Shady dealer, probably wanted to double dip, charge the unknowing customer then create a warranty claim. I've seen it happen before.
