Stop Shipment on 2013 F150's

If it was already on the ramp and then pulled back, it sounds like they found an issue with a specific part they want to replace/correct prior to delivery. That's a good thing. I remember last year they were calling some back that were in transit and near the delivery point.

Talked to Ford today! My truck was built last week and waiting shipment. According to customer service they showed a release and then a re release from the plant! So hopefully everything was worked out and it will be on its way to Chicago tomorrow.

Whenever I order a new truck, I always wait until later in the build
year so as to get the bugs out before delivery. The most problems occur at the beginning of the build year. I always order around the 1st of March with a delivery in around May or so.

Usually stop shipment is caused by a part issue/concern/shortage. If guess there is a supplier problem of a trim type of part that allows the assembly line to continue to run and then once the supplier gets up and running with the problem resolved the trucks can be retrofitted.
You might be able to get the real reason on blue oval.

My guess is they aren't moving enough 2012s if the dealer truly said and meant "stop shipment."

Anyway, it sounds like they already resolved the 'hold' issue and have started shipping again. That's good news for those who are waiting for delivery!
