Your ball joint will feel a difference in stress as soon as you change the geometry of the truck. Lifts, wider wheels will all have some impact on the ball joints. It truly depends on how dramatic the changes are. If your at 3 inch or more wider than your stock offset, than I would say you've hit your limit. Your ball joint won't last very long.

You may see some drop in longevity of you ball joints, for example instead of them lasting you 80k miles, they may only last you 65k miles. Again, this is just an example, it can depend on how you drive your truck, if you're an off-roader, you will see a drop in the life of your components.

Literally, bolt the spacer to your stock hub, then the wheel to the spacer. Doesn't get much simpler than that.

HSBII - Can any of you who bought the Bora spacers post up the installation instructions I would like to read them before buying a set, looked on there website and they do not have then there.. Thanks[
Based upon (several) previous wheel adapter installations ...
  1. jack-up the vehicle and position jack stands to contact the frame.
  2. loosen the lug nuts and remove the wheels.
  3. apply anti-seize to the rotor mounting surfaces and around the outside rim of the hub.
  4. mount the adapters using the supplied lug nuts and install them on the axle|rotor studs.
  5. tighten the lug nuts is a criss-cross pattern and torque the lug nuts to 150FtLb.
  6. apply anti-seize to the mounting surface of the back of the wheel(s) and around the center/bore lip of the adapter.
  7. mount the wheels to the studs of the adapters.
  8. tighten the wheel lug nuts is a criss-cross pattern and torque the lug nuts to 150FtLb.

    Repeat as often as necessary.
After a few hundred miles re-torque ALL of the lug nuts.
.

As some of you already know, 2 of my spacers were damaged in transit so Motorsport sent me two more ... they arrived this evening. They are 1.25" spacers and going on my 2014 FX4 with stock FX 20" wheels. I should have them installed by no later than Wednesday. Pics of before/after will be posted once they are installed.

Absolutely perfect if you ask me ... the stock FX 20" wheels w/ stock (or nearly stock) width, and the 1.25" spacers are a match made in heaven!
