Default Stock Wheels... Larger Tires

First off ... I have spent countless hours (I mean days and weeks) looking and not having any luck. Lots of 4x4 but not 4x2.

Soooo...
I have a 2011 FX2 EB Crew. Looking at putting Bilstein 5100 front shocks on in the 1.75" inch position to level it out. I really like the stock 18" wheels and looking for pics of others that have done this but put larger tires on. Stock tires look small 265/50-18. Pics and size are much appreciated.

Thanks for an awesome forum

I think the 4x4 sit up higher initially from factory so able to get bigger tire in there with same size of leveling kit?

You can fit up to a 33 inch tire with that kind of lift on your stock 18's. 4x4's can fit a 35 inch tire with that lift.

Anyone have some pics of 33's on 4x2 with level kit? Think some Revo 2 would look good?

I have the stock 18" wheels and tires, Bilstein 5100s set to the middle (3rd) groove, and it's about 3/8" difference front to back, but darned close to level. The ride is sweet, smooth, controlled, and considerably better than stock suspension. After a lot of consideration, I'm going to wear down these Michelin 265/60/18 tires before getting the 275/65/18 Michelins. No road noise, great on road performance. Be sure to disconnect the battery before hammering the steering arm; it could jack up your electric steering, I've read.

I think a little taller tire will look better, and the 275/65/18 is the current tallest tire that Ford will reflash into your onboard computer (so all your MPH, DTE settings line up), and it's about 32.1" high vs. 30.5 for the stock tire= 1.6" higher than stock.

Here's a 2010 FX2 with a Daystar 1" kit and Nitto Crosstek 275/60 20's on OEM Platinums. The tires are 1" bigger than OEM.

i have 2" HBS level and run 265/70/18's on my stock chrome clad wheels. pics are all over this forum somewhere. i even ran these tires without a level for about 8 months. fit perfect, no rubbing anywhere and they measure out at 32.6" tall.
