Default Stock tires - Orange Dots!?

So I have an orange dot on every single one of my tires, I tried Black Magic Bleach White Tire Cleaner, did nothing but clean up my black and white walls like new. However, the orange dot remains...Any thoughts on what removes it without eating up my tires, wheels, paint?

I think that helps determine the age of the tire. I just got 50% credit on each Pirelli due to weather cracking. The guy mentioned looking for the stamp on the tires.

No. Tires are all stamped with a date of manufacture, but you have to know the code to interpret the date.

On tires made since 2000: It is the last 4 digits of the tire identification number. So it might look like "ABCD1913" which would correspond to the 19th week of 2013 since the first 2 digits are the week and the last 2 digits are the year.

Before 2000 it was 3 digits. If you have anything made before 2000 you probably want to throw it away anyhow.

The ORANGE or YELLOW dots are meant to be used as alignment markers for the position of the valve stem.

If there is also a RED dot it is meant to note the heavy spot in the tire.

In general terms the dots are meant to be guidelines for experienced tire mounters. Alas ... Mostly they're ignored. *SIGH*

I doubt it, I will be replacing the tires by the time that happens. They are a year old and not much has changed about them. Even with me trying to clean them off.

This is discouraging. I have the 22's with low profile rubber and that dot sure stands out. I was really hoping it would come off before the first oil change. Pretty weak on fords part to put such a permanent marking on the tire.
