Default Stock jack cannot lift truck!

Have a 2012 f150. Pulled out my jack and all the stuff with it to use the other day for the first time. Put the jack under the truck, minster the rod with the 3/4 circle on the end into the the piece that cranks the jack, and up the rod on that rod that allows you to crank so it is like a T. I start to crank it up until it gets weight on it and notice it is super hard to crank. Harder than it should be. The truck has maybe moved up an inch when the rod with the 3/4 circle in it just BENDS! It cant even crank the truck up now.

I'm not sure I the jack wasn't working properly because it was so hard to turn, or I'd I had the setup wrong...I don't think it was the latter. Has this happened to anyone else? Guess I'll get a bottle jack.

If the jack is defective it should be covered under warranty.

Just like the old bumper jacks. You couldn't go wrong with one of these.

Throws it under one of the plastic bumper covers or plastic side steps

Side Rant: I hate seeing mall Jeepers run around with Hi-Lifts strapped to their hood while using stock plastic bumpers. What a joke..

Hi-lifts can be used for more than just lifting. They can be a cheap substitute for a winch.

It could be those guys don't have money for aftermarket bumpers and a winch yet. But hi-lift jacks, a tow strap, and your stock tow points would work just fine.

Don't be so judgemental
