Gas mileage question
Right now I have an 09 FX4 SCrew with 65k miles. I drive 20k miles a year 85% highway at basically 70mph. I have an SCT tuner with basic economy tune and it jumped my mpg from 16.2 to 17.4 through about 2k miles. My question is, would getting an EB or 5.0 provide that much better fuel economy or would the difference be negligible?

The difference in MPGs would be negligible. But the difference in power would be significant.

I just picked up at 14 with 5.0, granted it only has 1300 miles on the clock this last week just going to work and back 15 mikes each way all interstate hwy I am getting 18.8
My trade was a 12 with. 5,0 lifetime mileage when turned it in with 39k was 17.7.

gas mileage on a 2013 EB
I have A 2013 Supercrew Ecoboost 4x4 3.31 gears with 2500 miles on it. just completed a trip from DC area to OBX of NC. Headed to the beach we left early so no one else on the road, set speed control at 65 and ran like that for 1.5 to 2 hours then stopped for breakfast. Average to that point was 22.5. After that ran 75mph with speed control and the average dropped to 21.2. Arrived at the beach and it was at 20.2 after several stops and side streets to avoid the toll road. fully loaded with vacation gear, food, drinks etc.

Good question. The numbers I gave were from the info center from the truck. I seem to recall it also records the fuel used if you reset the A/B trip. The amount used matched up with my fill up.

The cost of a new vehicle would far exceed any potential fuel savings.
