Default Still clunking after replacing control arms...help

My front suspension has been clunking for a long time now. I just replaced the upper A arms, lower A arms, sway bar bushings, sway bar link. I also added some Bilstein 5100 maybe a year ago. It drives better but I still hear clunking going over bumps.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Anything that I missed.

Thanks.

Tie rod ends? Strut mounts? Wheel hubs? Are you running stock tires or...?

the only thing i can think of, would be to check the nut on top of the shock with the truck sitting on the ground, also check the three nuts on the upper strut mount. good luck

The 3 nuts on top are secure. I had to remove them to replace the control arms. I'll check the nut ontop of the shock when I get home. Thanks

X2

There should be almost an inch of thread protruding the top shock nut on your bilsteins. I just installed my bilsteins on the weekend and had the same issue on the driver side.

Did you use the Bilsteins to level the truck?

What UCAs did you use? OEM or Aftermarket?

Did you retorque the lower shock bolt to the specified 411 ft lbs? (you will need a torque multiplier to achieve this, as normal torque wrenches only go up to 250 ft lbs)

Yes, I used bilsteins to give is 2.5" lift.

I used aftermarket UCA. The clunking was there with the OEM and now with aftermarket

I did not torque to 411. I used a breaker bar and tightened as hard as I could. I guess I can locate a tool to verify if its tight enough but I'm assuming its pretty tight as is.

I was able to fix it this weekend! It was indeed the top shock nut. I tightened it up and all is quiet now. Finally!!!

Thank you everyone for helping out!
