Default Sterling Gray Metallic - easy to keep clean?

I currently have a 2011 F150 XLT (blue flame metallic), but am considering a new (2012 or 2013) FX4. Initially, I thought it was tuexdo black or nothing, but am now considering other colours, including sterling gray metallic. For those of you that have it, how easy is it to keep clean? Is it like a black (shows the slightest bit of dirt), or more like a silver where it doesn't show dirt as badly?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Very easy to keep clean more like silver then black ... only time it really looks dirty is after it hasnt been cleaned in awhile and then it rains making all the dirt spot up

LOVE my sterling gray! It does lean more towards silver in terms of showing dirt.

I had a '10 sterling gray. I was satisfied with how clean it stayed and I'm fairly picky on keeping my truck clean.

x2!!!
I have a '12 and this truck has made me EXTREMELY lazy as far as washing my truck. I have owned it since late may and its been washed 5 times and one of those times was a crappy brushless automatic carwash while I was on vacation.
when I owned it, my mustang was washed that many times IN AN AVG MONTH!!! and yet this truck always looks clean.

I went from a '10 Blue Flame to a '12 Sterling Grey and don't regret it for a second. This color is probably the best IMO to keep clean. Not to mention the best looking color

I have sterling grey. I wash my truck once every 5 or 6 weeks and I work in construction on dirty/muddy job sites. My coworkers thought I wash my truck every weekened because it always looks clean. Close up you can see the dirt but from 15+ ft away, it looks clean

Agree with this - from 15 to 20' away it always looks clean unless you're covered in mud.....

Love my Sterling Grey. Probably one of the easiest color to keep looking good.
