What is the best factory stereo setup by Ford in these F150's. I like loud and a MP3 jack is a must have.

The $435 Sony stereo upgrade (including MP3 input) is their top of the line. How great it is has been argued many times..

I stepped up from the 04 stock sound system to the 2010 sony premium. I can obviously tell a huge improvement! System sounds great to me

Sony is very nice, well worth the price .I have it on my 09 Lariat. DO NOT get the stock system... It is on my wife's 2010 Lariat, and is pathetic. Now I get to upgrade it @ $1200.

I love my 2010 F-150 that I just picked up this past week. But the stock sound system is seriously lacking.

What are the after-market options out there? I am looking for just something simple. Not sure if it is as easy as upgrading speakers? Does the OEM system allow for an amp to be added?

Trying to avoid buying the Sony upgrade from the dealer, if it costs $1200.

I agree the stock radio in my XLT is horrible - Tax return will be going towards an upgraded set of front/rear speakers and new head unit

Definetly the Sony. 700 Watts, sub under the rear seat. Sounds better than my wife's BOSE in her Nissan by far. If you are a true audiophile you may be unimpressed by the sub at louder levels, but for all intensive purposes it sounds great. Just my 2cents.
