Step tubes
I did some searching on this the other day and didn't really find much.....So here goes...
I am currently driving a 2008 SuperDuty F350 crew cab. I bought a set of Ford step tubes from a freind that had come off his 07 F350 cc, they were basically new and are the 5" oval chrome aluminum tube with 2 pads.
The F350 is a lease and will be going back in a few months and I am buying a F150 Lariat SCREW to replace it. What I am wondering is if the step tubes from my SuperDuty would work on the F150?? Mostly concerned about the length. I know the F150 has only 2 attachment points and the F350 has 3, so I would have to do some bracket relocating. Will the bracket bolt up to the rocker or not fit??
I know some will say to pony up and buy new ones, but these are in really good condition and I can't see selling them for less than half of what new ones would cost if I could possibly use them on the new truck.
If it's going to be too much hassle converting them to use on the F150 I will sell them and buy new. Just wondering if anyone knows if it possible to do this conversion??
Thanks for any responses.

I saw your post....I went and checked the classified and saw it there. I live in Minnesota so picking them up is probably out of the question. You have any idea what it might cost to ship them here?? I filled out my profile also, didn't mean to leave it blank.

OK...So no one knows....I figured that may happen...Not too common of a request I'm sure.
I'lll approach from this angle then.....
Can one of you that has the 5" oval aluminum Ford step tubes please measure them end to end and spacing between the pads and post it here??
Also can one of you that has the 5" oval aluminum Ford step tubes take a picture or two of the mounting bracket where it bolts on to the back of the rocker??
Anyone willing to help a fella out??

i would if I had an screw. pics can be had of the mounts tho. mom has an screw. if I don't see any replies I'll try my best.
my suggestion is to have yr dealer throw them on the new truck as part of the deal if they aren't budging otherwise. I bet u could have someone throw these in as part of the deal. a lot of the trucks on the lots here they order them b/c they are popular enough.
