Step Bar Lighting
Hello all, I have a silver 2010 F150 4X4 Supercab XLT with the XTR package. At night when stepping out of the truck it is hard to see if you have a good secure foothold on the step bars when stepping out of the vehicle. I have been thinking of the possibility of adding LEDs to light up the step bars-more for my wife's safety than mine, as it seems as if the bars are narrow and one could easily slip and fall. I thought about attaching short LED bars to the mounting brackets that support the step bars. I think I would only want the lights to come on when the doors are opened, not on all the time. Has anyone done this? If it can be done, what would be the easiest and neatest route for wiring them up? Any suggestions/pictures welcome. Thanks
Steve
