Default Steerling wheel replacement part number

I recently acquired a 2010 F150 Lariat 4x4 in white platinum/pale adobe, with a camel leather interior. The coating on my foam/rubber steering wheel has been worn through on top, and is now very sticky and annoying. I'm looking to swap this out, for the actual leather wrapped wheels that Ford has replaced them with.

In a search for the correct part #, I am running into issues finding the correct one. I contacted Tasca and was given a part #9L3Z-3600-EB, which I was told is not an orderable part from Ford. I also found photos of part #9L3Z-3600-BD, which looks to be the correct color (a dark brownish/gray color, not sure it's exact name), but was told by Tasca that is not correct for my truck. They do not have another part number that is valid for me though.

Has anyone been through this, and can help me get to the correct part number here?

This is pretty much the steering wheel I am looking for, just trying to nail down the actual part number:

You could try www.fordparts.com but that steering wheel is in the $500 range, if it were mine I would just get a cover from local auto parts store or wally world. Or try a local salvage yard.

I got this one for my truck. The buttons were different so I just took my old buttons and put them on the new wheel. The wheel is grey with a slight brownish hue to it. Can't beat the price.

GotNotch, you have an 09 or 10 with the buttons similar to the ones in my original post then? (4 per side, 8 total) That one looks about like what I am looking for, just the button difference.

Sorry. I didn't realize 9-10 use a different wheel. Mine is a 14.

Why don't you just recover it using leather covers from WheelSkins? $60 and easy to thread on. They have many color options to match you interior while saving hundreds in a new steering wheel. I did mine but bought red wax string instead of the black thread that comes in the package as you can see in the pic.

2009-2014 wheels are all interchangeable- the differences are the small harness and buttons which are easily swapped. I've done it so I know it works. You can find the correct part number (this will identify the color) by removing the airbag (very easy to do, but search and become familiar with the procedure before attempting) and reading the identification sticker on the wheel.

I may end up going with just that, thanks for the info. I just want to figure out what I'd be looking at for an OEM replacement if I can find it. If it's too much $, as many seem to be, I'll opt for a cover.

Thanks for that info, I was wondering what parts were different. My buttons and harnesses should be good, so if I do find a correct colored wheel, it shouldn't matter the configuration. I'll pull the airbag, and see what I can find.

I'm almost sure 9L3Z-3600-BD is the correct part number. Once you look under the airbag you will know for sure (just look for "Dusk Grey"- if it's there that's your wheel). Don't let the button configuration deter you; if you find one in the correct color it is useable regardless of what year it's listed for or what buttons are present. I needed the same wheel and got it for $100 brand new instead of almost $400 because I found a deal on a "2011-2014" wheel instead of a "2009-2010". Took a few extra minutes but everything swapped over and worked perfectly. Plus I was able to get contrasting stitching on the wheel which wasn't available on my truck, and a new set of 2011-14 buttons that I can sell.

If dusk grey is the color you are needing then the eBay link I posted earlier is for that color. It's $160.00 just Fyi
