Me too. I worked at the Kansas City Plant for 10 years. I'm going to contact the UAW quality rep and a buddy of mine that works on the the Truck side at the plant is going to find out who the quality control rep is and give me their number. I will post when I find something out.

I just checked www.mycarstats.com and there is 12 steering complaints on 2011 f-150's but none for 2012 f150's. So far, knock on plastic wood..... I do not have this problem. I haven't gone under to see the date of manufacture on the rack as I have a big problem with my knee.... (my knee has a knocking and steering problem...lol.. ouch!) I took delivery in Feb/12 and off assembly in Jan/12. f150 Lariat screw, 6 1/2' box with the standard chrome package wheels.

Well add one more to the list. I just picked up my 2012 F150 Screw FX4 and with only 500 miles on the odometer the rattling has begun. I took it back to the dealer and they drove it and said that the rattle was a normal feeling and the upgraded shocks on the FX4 cause it. I laughed at the service manager when he said that and let them know i would be going to another dealer for service from now on.
After a trip to the new dealer i now have a steering column and rack on order. Hopefully i wont have to wait long. Thanks for all the good information on this issue!

Well took my truck to a different dealer today and the guy road with me and could feel what everybody else can and tried telling me its my tires and they need to be rotated. I'm so tired of these ******** blaming this issue on other things.

You should have stopped the truck and made him get out and walk back to the dealer just for making that stupid ***** statement.

Can we make sure we are getting updates with this Linda lady! Sounds like shes taking action, im gonna wait to call because my second rack is still doing better than the first. I can tell the issue is there when i hit really rough roads. Would like to hear what she is getting done though.

Default Part Number

2012F150,

Would you mind posting new part number for the rack that Linda had installed on your truck. I was wondering if this is something we could use to help our dealers order the right EPAS. BTW.. I'm just assuming you got yours fixed. What is the status on your truck?
