Default Std mirrors or Trailer mirrior install

I have the trailer towing mirror option on my 09. While they are nice for going down the road, they stick out way to far for real every day in town driving. I know quit the whining!

But, I am looking to go back a step with a standard mirror option.

Has anyone had the plesure of R&R the factory mirriors?

It would appear the door panel must be removed first.

Any suggestions or concerns?

Objects in mirror are closer than they appear!

Thx,

WR

I've not done it but have read plenty of posts from those that have. Its supposed to be very simple. remove door panel and the mirrors are in place with like three bolts and of course appropriate power connectors.

I have the trailer tow mirrors. For the first few weeks I swear they were getting bigger and bigger...lol. I've now become used to them and after driving my wife's Tahoe the other day, I was sort of freaking out because her mirrors are so small now.

I tow too often to be switching mirrors and I really need the tow mirrors for my travel trailer. I just wish the tow mirrors had power fold.

I have the trailer tow mirrors they take a bit to get use to. But over all I give a thumbs up. Like everything else they have there good points and bad.(good) the convex mirror on the bottom makes it easy to see on the side of you and the pull out makes it easy to see behind you. (Bad) Hard to get in tight places and have to watch real close when going down narrow streets with cars on both sides. Also have to pull them in when parking in my garage. I agree with v tach power fold would be nice.
