So codes for evap etc are not turning up after the starting issues.

Starting after fuelling and evap purge valve often go together, with a corresponding code.

Scan even if no mil light.

OK, I know its been a long time since I posted this. But I am a procrastinator.

Disconnecting the battery cables didn't work, so...

I had to take it in before the extended warranty ran out. I took it to World Ford in Pensacola. Those people are the greatest. They are polite and professional, they know what they are doing and they do what they say they will do. Not like our local Crestview dealership, not at all!

So I explain the issue and they took my keys before I could even blink and my truck was gone, in the shop getting fixed.

I had hauled my motorcycle in the truck so I could go riding and met a friend for breakfast.

They called as we were finishing up with our meal to say it was ready.

They replaced the EVAP PURGE VALVE. The old one was stuck open according to the diagnostic sheet they gave me.

So if you are having this trouble fueling after starting you might want to have this checked out.
