Default Starting after Fueling

2011 XLT 3.7 with 65K.
I have noticed lately almost every time I fuel then immediately start the truck it does weird things like the starter hangs up or something, doesn't want to start until I turn the key off and try again and then its totally normal. Never does it at any other time except immediately after fueling. Very strange! Anyone else experience this?

OK then, looks like I'm alone on this one. I can't imagine it's a starter issue, it has to be in the program somewhere.
Maybe if I do a reset on the steering wheel after fueling but before the first start?

Kinda grasping at straws, don't really want to take it in for the dealer to trouble shoot, but I will if it gets worse.

Any thoughts from those of you smarter than me on Ford electronics?

I've encountered a similar issue before but I was SUPER low on fuel and I just chalked it up to that... I will follow to see if you find a fix though. Best of luck.

Reset what? MPG readout? That's going to have zero impact on starting.

I was thinking it may also reset the miles to empty? Like I. Said there has to be some programming issue if it only does it at that specific time.

Sometimes when i reload a custom tune on the truck from stock, and go to start it after it gives me a hard time for 6 seconds-10 seconds.

Maybe try pulling the battery for 20 mins, and see if that changes anything. It does sound more ECU then a starter issue...just my opinion

Good point, I will try not getting as low and see if it makes a difference

Can't hurt I suppose. If it does it again I'll pull the battery cables and see, thanks

Absolutely does not. DTE is a rolling 500 mile calculation. That would also have zero impact on starting.
