Default Pirelli Scorpions - are they they bad in the snow?

Hey guys, my 2013 FX4 came with the Pirelli Scorpions on the 20 inch wheels.
Judging by the way the tread looks I thought the tread looked pretty aggressive for the winter and didn't think I would have any issues although I have been hearing nothing but bad things about them in the snow. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Also, if I'm going to upgrade tires I'd like to put something good for all year round driving that won't kill my fuel milage but at the same time I'd like to go with a bigger tire and leveling kit.

Be prepared to drive around in 4wd a lot...

I couldn't stand mine, they sucked in the rain as well.

Sounds like something like the Nitto Terra Grappler or Goodyear Duratrac might fit your bill

Ive heard a lot of people not liking the Scorpios. It came on my buddies 11 Limited and he got a little less then 30k on them and they were pretty much bald.

Go with Bridgestone duelers. They are awesome tires and wear great.

No issues with mine yet after 4 month. No slipping in rain in 2wd and handled blizzard trips to the Colorado mountains for skiing no problem in 4wd.

I had my first wreck in the winter with those tires. I would entertain buying them from you if you upgrade? I will be trading truck next year and if cheap enough, would just put OEM back on.

They were fine on my truck in the winter. I had to use the e-locker in some deep snow, but it went everywhere just fine.

Thanks guys. I will google the tires mentioned. What would be a good size to go with and what leveling kit would be appropriate to match?
