We will put out something officail soon, but it sounds like if you want to be grandfather-ed into this program you will have to buy the warranty before 6.30.14 (end of this month)

Depends on what you mean by other "Tuners". Other companies that tune, like MPT, livernois ETC, Probably not. We are really happy with what we have with Mike @ 5 Star and plan to continue down this road with him.
If you mean tuner as in the device (Edge, Superchips Etc) then maybe yes. The only issue there is that our custom tuning usually out performs their tuning and since we do not custom tune the edge products there isn't much to be gained by going that route. So unless you just had to have a edge CTS tuner and a warranty we would just suggest the Livewire from SCT with our custom tunes and a warranty.

I'm still a little hung up on the potential gap in warranty coverage between the factory powertrain warranty and this optional limited coverage and could use some additional clarification. If you can answer the following questions it would help:
Most importantly I'm interested in understanding the process and prerequisites to execute on this additional warranty coverage. In the event of an engine related failure for which the customer's Ford dealership has refused factory powertrain warranty coverage due to a "claim" that a qualifying 5-star tune was the source of engine failure; what evidence or artifacts will Stage3Motorsports require in order to invoke the optional Limited Powertrain Warranty coverage?
- Is there an underwriter or separate third-party warranty company backing this optional Limited Powertrain Warranty coverage program on behalf of Stage3Motorsports or 5-star? If so, who?
- Do you have any details published on what specifically is covered by the policy and/or what is excluded? Do you make the contract or inclusion/exclusion list available for review prior to commitment?
- What are the qualifying prerequisites in order to execute or invoke this supplemental coverage? How is claim eligibility determined and by whom?
- Are there any deductibles required to receive the advertised coverage limits for parts & labor?
- What are the repair facility criteria to execute on a claim? Since this is not a manufacture sponsored or backed warranty, what are the stipulations behind the repair facilities approved to do the work?
- How are claim adjustment, paperwork, and payments handled for an active claim? Is this negotiated directly with qualifying repair facilities or is the contract owner left responsible for swivel chain negotiations?
- Is a purchased Limited Powertrain Warranty transferrable to another owner of the same covered vehicle?
- Are there any discounts or premiums available for owners who also have a supplemental Ford ESP contract in place on the covered vehicle?
