Default Sprint Booster??

I know one thing. My 5.0 has a little lag, but nowhere near as dangerous as my 2005/5.4 was.
If you where doing 35 and mashed the pedal, you could easily count to 3, before it would wake up that slow revving dog.
It was only dropping down from 3rd to 2nd too.
If you weren't familiar with that truck and tried to get on the highway in 3rd or worse 4th gear, you could end up in trouble.
Anyways factory reflashing and eventually a tuner helped a little bit.
The 2010 with the 6 speed was like a completely different engine.
It's too bad that's not a cure all. Might almost be worth the $300.
I would maybe give it a try I'd it were a $100, but three hundred dollars. Not a chance!

Someone wanted reviews? Here's some but they're from the site so they might be biased of course. http://www.sprintboostersales.com/sp...er-reviews.cfm

Completly cured all of the same issues as yours on mine. My SCT tune helped a bit, but the Sprint Booster made a massive improvement. I often have to merge into traffic going uphill near my home, and it was scary when accelerating. Never knew if the truck was going to get moving when i needed it to. Now it is much safer.
BTW, mine is a 2009 with the 6 speed and 5.4

I have a sprintbooster on my BMW X5 and Audi R8, makes a ton of difference, the green setting is good for my wife, I keep it on red and the difference in lag is extremely noticeable. I will have one for the 2016 I ordered when it comes in.

Well, now it's getting more interesting. I would've killed to have that on my 2005. The 2010 didn't need it, the 5.4 with the 6 speed was a great all around set-up.
If I hear a couple 5.0 success stories from guy's on here. I'd buy it.

So does it feel like it opens up the low end power that these trucks lack?

I also have a 2009 5.4L with 6 speed and I have custom written tunes from Power Hungry Performance on my Edge (Gryphon) CTS programmer.... I feel like still have hardly any power up until about 2700-3500 RPMs and then she takes off like a rocket. I wonder if I would need to have my tunes re-written if I added a Sprint-Booster.....

It definitely feels like it brings up the power. Anyone who has one, loves it. I have no complaints. A tune cannot do what this device does. It can lesson the effect, but not to this degree.
Running an SCT tune on mine with it. You will not have to rewrite a tune.
Most of the time I have mine on the green setting as the red has a pretty aggressive throttle response.
