Question Speedometer Illumination

My rpm needle is not lit. All other numbers on that side are illuminated.
The led under the 40 mph number is dim/out.
I'm hearing that the LEDs are soldered in? Is there an easy way to replace them or do I need a new instrument cluster?

TIA,
Malcolm

Pretty sure they're like the 04-08's. The only soldered in leds are for warning indicators.

All other lights are #74 mini incandescent bulbs. They can be switched to leds though.

Theres no way the main bulbs in the 2013-14 clusters are incandescents. If that were the case, the numbers/hashmarks would be showing up ~3300k, not 4500k like they are. They're just clear with a white overlay for daytime visibility. They get their illumination color from the bulbs.

that sucks to hear that those LEDs are soldered in.

So, is the general consensus they cant be replaced, and you have to get a new instrument cluster?
There has to be a better way than buying a new one when the LEDs burn out? That makes no sense or **** poor design by Ford...
Does anyone know of any company repairing the cluster?
