Default The waiting is the hardest part...

I got my 2011 back in June, but bought it off the lot; rather then ordering one to spec...

I had an aftermarket camera system in my '06; and missed it badly on the new ride.

Just ordered the parts for an OEM camera system, remote start, and trailer controller from Tasca... Now comes the hard part - waiting for the goodies to get here!!!

I just put my order in last week. I've got a while to wait and I don't have much patience.

Well, my box of goodies arrived on Tuesday - not a bad turn-around for international shipping, and with a long weekend thrown in the mix, too!

Got the remote start and TBC installed yesterday; but the weather's turned crap, and haven't got a garage to work indoors, so the camera install is going to have to wait for a better day... Which, as I look across my office, and see the box on my work-table, is making me crazy!!!

I know the feeling. My new DA polisher and pads are arriving to my office today via FedEx. Now if only it weren't so damn cold I could actually give her the treatment

I know what ya mean. The parts for my new stereo system have begun to trickle in. They "should" all be here by Monday for a Tuesday install but we shall see.

What did you do for the camera? My new HU has a reverse screen option but I still have to figure what camera to get.

Thanks,

troutspinner

I've gone OEM for everything this time - mirror-mounted display, harnesses, and tailgate-mounted camera behind the logo. All FoMoCo stuff.

My '06, I had a Pioneer HU, and had a hard-wired license-plate mounted cam, that worked excellent as well.

Where did you order your oem products. I am thinking of the factory navigation. It was discontinued when I ordered my 2011 fx4 is it possible to order the factory navigation and have it installed. Also does anyone have the model number or any suggestions for a dash navigation system

Tasca Ford... They have been excellent to deal with. I think the website is www.tascaparts.com - but google it to be sure... On my phone right now, so don't have the link handy.

No idea on the NAV - but they'll know. I emailed back and forth with Patrick to get my parts list together.
