Which Metra adapter, can you post a link? Also, how are the factory tweeters wired? From the main speaker, or separate wires from the head unit? Thanks!

Look for speakers with the higher sensitivity ratings. You will get the more sound out of them without an amp. I didn't add an amp with mine but several have. Just replacing the stock POS' made a world of difference! Like Franchi Motorsports stated, Crutchfield is a great site. You do pay a little more but they include all the necessary wiring adapters and instructions for your vehicle. You will save a lot of money installing them yourself. Hit me up if you have questions along the way. Your .02 means a lot more to me. Thanks very much. Ill have a look at these. Sounds like a few hundred in speakers will improve sound a lot. Thanks for all the response!

Just removed the stock Sony speakers and replaced with Infinity Reference 6832cf in all four doors. HUGE sound improvement over stock. Total cost was just over 100 bucks for all four with speaker adapters included.

Currently looking into the Sound Ordnance B-8PTD powered subwoofer for $200 from Crutchfield and they are currently including a free wiring kit with it as well.

So for about $300 total investment on my part, I'm going to have a good solid improvement over factory. It won't be anything crazy, but I've got another car in the garage for the crazy stuff

Make sure to get the metra adapter for $10 so you don't butcher your stock wires. These are crystal clear and really bring out all the notes. They do lack bass, but I knew that going into it! Video Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018SMVCS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You really can't go wrong with either of the polk or infinity speakers. You might wanna try two at a time as I just put my fade to 70/30 and use the rear speakers as some sort of bass.
Good post thank you..... Was it easy to remove old install new?

The Infinity's I got from Amazon using my Prime membership for 51 bucks w/ free shipping. The Metra adapters are 72-5600 as is listed down further in the same ad.

Amazon.com: Infinity Reference 6832cf 6 x 8/5 x 7-Inch, 180-Watt High Performance Two-Way Loudspeaker (Pair): Car Electronics Amazon.com: Infinity Reference 6832cf 6 x 8/5 x 7-Inch, 180-Watt High Performance Two-Way Loudspeaker (Pair): Car Electronics

Then for the Sound Ordnance, I am going to use Crutchfield since they include a free amp wiring kit for it too. If they weren't offering the wiring kit with it, I might look somewhere else, but you have amazing customer service with them and they will take it back if you don't like it.
