I guess I will be taking the door panel off and examining this situation soon.
That's exactly what I was going to ask him. Does it work fine when you turn up the volume to get it going, then it stays working?
That's a sure fire way to know it's a lousy connection.
Only fix is brand new Infinity's all around... with the proper adapters.
That's my diagnosis.

Agreed, sounds like the connection is not very solid. May need to get it there and beef it up some.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm pretty sure it's a bad connection because it sounds fine when I turn the volume past 50%.

The truck is actually and lease and is going back in a few weeks. I didn't realize this is still under warranty. I just don't want any hassle when I go to return it, so if there is an easy fix I would do it myself, but it sounds like I'll have to remove the door panel to get at the speaker.

Get some new speakers. I did some research on Crucial, found a good set with high reviews. To replace all 4 would have been about 200 bucks. Found a third party company on Amazon selling a set of 4 for $110 bucks. Another 20 for the connectors.

My passenger door speaker sounds blown as heck, but only if I park in the sun on a warm day. If its cool out, I have no problems.

I'm just going to use it as an excuse to upgrade

I think mines doing the same thing... Today it's magically working as normal again. It's happened twice now where I park for a few hours and leave the windows down on a warm sunny day and the speaker sounds like crap for 24 hours afterwards. As I drove around today, the speaker gradually sounded less and less distorted and now its fine again.

Really weird... The only possible explanation is the speaker is picking up interference from extraterrestrial lifeforms... OR ghosts... could definitely be ghosts.

Too bad they aren't like my 2005 was. The plastic grill in front of the speaker used to pop right off.
You could change out your front speakers in 20 minutes.
